Kira and the Puppies - Take 2

I had wondered how Kira would react to the puppies since it had been over a year since the last litter.  With the 2006 litter, at the young age of 4 months, Kira decided that she needed to be a part of that litter's upbringing.   Kira is now almost a year and a half in age. It has been a long 2 weeks for Kira ... She finally made it into the pen this week while Bec was outside on break.   As you can see from the pictures, I believe her mothering instincts are all there.  She has been all about licking them down and taking care of them the best way that she can.  She has been extremely gentle with all of the pups, which is good since they don't quite have good balance yet.  I believe Kira is going to make one heck of a mom!
