Darla is one of the smaller girls, but I have found that size is not an issue where Darla & Dale are concerned. I expect them to both be go-getters & to give Davie a run for his money. Darla is quite a charmer.

I always know when Darla is around. If I hear fussing between two pups, I can just about guarantee that Darla is involved. Her smaller size doesn't make her hesitate to let the others know that she is a force to be reckoned with, in one way or another. Darla loves to sit in my lap & enjoys learning new skills, like how to climb up the steps. She is quite lovely with her white chest and toe tips.
Five Weeks
Darla continues to make her presence known among her littermates. As tough as she acts with them, she is a super loving pup with me. I love watching the pups run around with their playful bounces. Darla has a very confident air about her as she learns about her new surroundings.

Six Weeks
Darla is still very confident in her leadership role within the pack. She can be a fun, energetic ball of fire at times. Darla continues to be a loving pup with me. It will be interesting to see if the things I am seeing with her will carry over into the herding instinct and puppy aptitude tests they will be taking at 7 weeks.

Seven Weeks
As you can see from the photos, Darla really turned on when it was her turn to be in the pen with the ducks. It is interesting to note that my two pack leaders (Darla & Davie) were the ones that saw the ducks and decided that herding/moving them was a good thing. The other pups did interact with the ducks, but not with as much enthusiasm as these two.

Seven Weeks
I have really enjoyed watching Darla grow. To me, the older she gets, the prettier she becomes. I am expecting Darla to leave for her new home in eastern NC within the week. She can be as tough as nails when she needs to be, but also a very loving pup.
